Ukraine reports 209 frontline clashes, repels 66 Russian assaults in Pokrovsk sector

The Ukrainian Armed Forces' General Staff reported the information as of 8:00 a.m.

"The Russian agressor launched 78 air strikes on the Ukrainian positions and populated areas, dropping 124 guided bombs. In addition, it carried out more than 5,200 attacks, 108 of which were from multiple launch rocket systems, and used 3,135 'kamikaze' drones to attack," the General Staff noted.

They added that over the past day, the Ukrainian aviation, missile forces and artillery of the Defense Forces hit 19 areas of concentration of personnel and equipment, 4 artillery units and two control points of the Russian invaders.

Frontline update

In the Kharkiv sector, Ukrainian troops repelled two Russian attacks near Vovchansk.

In the Kupiansk sector, nine Russian attacks took place yesterday. The Ukrainian Defense Forces rebuffed the Russian assault in the areas of Pishchane and Novoplatonivka.

In the Lyman sector, the Russian troops attacked 22 times. They tried to advance in the vicinity of Nadiia, Novyi Myr, Yampolivka, Torske and in the direction of Shandryholove.

In the Siversk sector, Ukrainian troops fought off four Russian attacks yesterday. Russian units tried to advance in the areas of Serebrianka and Verkhniokamianske.

In the Kramatorsk sector seven firefights were registerednear Chasiv Yar and in the direction of Bila Hora.

In the Toretsk sector, the Russian invaders carried out 23 attacks near Dyliivka, Toretsk, Shcherbynivka, Romanivka and in the direction of Rusyn Yar, Oleksandr-Kalynove and Yablunivka.

In the Pokrovsk sector, the Ukrainian defenders stopped 66 assault and offensive actions in the areas of Myroliubivka, Andriivka, Lysivka, Malynivka, Myrne, Yelyzavetivka, Promin, Udachne, Novoserhiivka, Horikhove and in the directions of Oleksiivka, Poltavka and Muravka.

In the Novopavlivka sector, the Ukrainian Defense Forces beat back 34 Russian attacks in the areas of Vesele, Bahatyr, Skudne, Dniproenerhiia, Fedorivka, Novosilka, Vilne Pole, Novyi Komar, Shevchenko and towards Myrne, Zaporizhzhia and Komar.

In the Huliaipole sector, the Russian troops conducted one offensive near Malynivka.

In the Orikhiv sector, the Russian forces conducted four attacks in the area of Novoandriivka and towards Pavlivka.

In the Prydniprovskyi sector, the aggressor made one futile attempt to advance towards the Ukrainian troops' positions.

In the Kursk sector, 27 combat engagements of varying intensity took place yesterday. In addition, the occupiers launched 18 air strikes using 34 guided aerial bombs, and also carried out 225 artillery attacks on the Ukrainian troops' positions and localities, including five from multiple launch rocket systems.

Along the border with Belarus, no signs of Russian offensive groups were detected.

• Over the past day, the Russian army lost at least 1,220 soldiers on the front line. Ukrainian defenders also destroyed 72 UAVs and 42 artillery systems.
