202 battles on Russian-Ukrainian front: Pokrovsk sector sees heaviest fighting

Since the beginning of the day, March 11, 202 combat clashes have taken place on the Russian-Ukrainian front. The Defense Forces of Ukraie have repelled 47 enemy attacks in the Pokrovsk direction, 11 battles are still ongoing.

This is stated in the summary of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine .

Today, the communities of the settlements of Rudak and Dmytrivka in the Sumy region were hit by enemy artillery and mortar fire.

"The Defense Forces of Ukraine are holding back the offensive of the occupying Russian forces. Terrorists continue to destroy Ukrainian cities and villages with rocket, air, and artillery strikes. The defense forces are taking the necessary measures to prevent the enemy from advancing deep into Ukrainian territory," the message says.

Situation in the main frontline sectors

In the Kharkiv direction, the Russian enemy has carried out offensive actions 5 times since the beginning of the day in the directions of the settlements of Hlyboke and Vovchansk, Kozacha Lopan, Hoptivka and Veterynarne were damaged by enemy aircraft.

In the Kupyansk direction, the Russian troops have attacked the positions of the Defense Forces in the areas of Nova Kruhlyakivka, Petropavlivka and Zahryzove 40 times, and five clashes are currently ongoing.

In the Lyman direction, the Russian invading army has carried out 18 attacks on Ukrainian positions near the settlements of Hrekivka, Yampolivka, Novomykhailivka, Nove and Zelena Dolyna. Seven clashes are still ongoing.

In the Siversky direction, Ukrainian defenders have repelled 2 enemy attacks in the directions of the settlements of Bilohorivka and Verkhnokamyanske, and three more clashes are still ongoing.

In the Kramatorsk direction, Ukrainian forces repelled 4 assault actions of the Russian invaders. The enemy is trying to break through in the areas of Mayske, Chasiv Yar and Stupochy. The defense forces have already repelled 9 enemy attacks.

In the Toretsk direction, Ukrainian defenders repelled 21 assaults of the invaders near Diliivka, Dachny, Druzhba, Kurdyumivka and Toretsk, six more combat clashes are ongoing.

In the Pokrovsk direction, the Russian army made 58 attempts to push Ukrainian defenders from the positions in the areas of the settlements of Vodyane Druge, Novotroitske, Promyn, Lysivka, Novoukrainka, Zelene, Zvirovo, Leontovychi, Serhiivka, Udachne, Novooleksandrivka, Nadiivka, Preobrazhenka, Bohdanivka, Katerynivka, Oleksiivka, Shevchenko and Andriivka. The defense forces are holding back the onslaught and have repelled 47 enemy attacks, 11 clashes are still ongoing. Nova Poltavka has been hit by airstrikes.

In the Novopavlivka direction, the Russian enemy tried to break through the defenses of our defenders 15 times in the areas of Konstantinopol, Katerynivka, Vilny Pole and Burlatsky. Three clashes are currently ongoing.

In the Hulyaipole direction, 15 battles with the Russian forces took place in the areas of the settlements of Pryvilnoe, Zelene Pole, Novosilka and Novopil. The settlements of Hulyaipol and Novopil were hit by airstrikes by assault aircraft.

In the Orikhiv direction, the Russian troops conducted 9 offensive actions in the areas of the settlements of Novodanylivka, Stepovoe, Pyatikhatki, Shcherbaki, Kamyanske and Lobkove. At the moment, four clashes remain unfinished.

In the Pridniprovsky direction, the Russian enemy attacked the positions of Ukraine's defenders twice, without success.

In the Kursk direction, 23 combat clashes have taken place since the beginning of the day, 14 of which are still ongoing. In addition, the Russian army launched three air strikes, dropping three glide bombs, and carried out 167 artillery attacks, including 9 from multiple launch rocket systems.

• During the past day, March 10, 140 combat clashes took place on the front between the two armies. The enemy attacked the most in the Lyman direction - there the Defense Forces repelled 22 attacks.
