142 combat clashes registered at frontline on June 2nd with 46 Russian attacks in Pokrovsk sector

Over the course of June 2, 142 combat clashes took place on the Russian-Ukrainian front. Russian troops continue to actively attack positions in 10 directions

The Ukrainian Armed Forces’ General Staff report on June 3 stated.

Yesterday, the Russian aggressor launched 2 missile strikes and 78 air strikes against Ukrainian positions and localities, using three missiles and 137 guided bombs. In addition, it made 5,736 attacks, including 106 from multiple launch rocket systems, and used 3,270 kamikaze drones to attack.

3 settlements in the Sumy region; 2 settlements in the Kharkiv region; Myrne, Myroly in the Donetsk region; 6 settlements in the Zaporizhzhia region; 1 settlement in the Kherson region were hit by air strikes.

Yesterday, the Ukrainian aviation, missile forces and artillery of the Defense Forces hit 10 areas of Russian troops, weapons and military equipment, four command posts, eight artillery sites and one Russian air defense site.

Frontline update

In the Kharkiv sector, three firefights took place in the vicinity of Vovchansk and in the direction of Dovhenke yesterday.

In the Kupiansk sector, seven occupants' attacks were registered. The Ukrainian defense forces fought off the Russian assault in the areas of Zakhidne, Stepova Novoselivka, Pishchane, Zahryzove and Zelenyi Hai.

 In the Lyman sector, the Russian troops attacked 15 times, trying to advance near Hrekivka, Olhivka, Novyi Myr, Hlushchenkove, Ridkodub, Karpivka, Zelena Dolyna, Torske and in the direction of Hryhorivka.

In the Siversk sector, the Russian invaders attacked the Ukrainian troops' positions five times near Hryhorivka, Verkhnekamianske and in the direction of Serebrianka.

 In the Kramatorsk sector, the Ukrainian Armed Forces rebuffed six Russian attacks towards Bila Hora and Kurdiumivka.

 In the Toretsk sector, the Russian forces carried out 11 attacks in the areas of Dyliivka, Pleshchiivka, Toretsk, Nelipivka and in the direction of Yablunivka.

In the Pokrovsk sector, the Ukrainian defenders stopped 46 aggressor attacks in the areas of Poltavka, Myroliubivka, Yelyzavetivka, Malynivka, Lysivka, Dachanske, Novoukrainka, Udachne, Novoserhiyivka, Muravka, Kotliarivka, Andriivka and in the direction of Pokrovsk.

 In the Novopavlivka sector, Ukrainian Armed Forces repelled 22 Russian-backed attacks in the areas of Kostiantynopil, Bahatyr, Odradne, Novosilka, Vilne Pole, Zelene Pole, Novopil, and in the direction of Novoukrainka and Komar. 

In the Orikhiv sector, near Stepove, the invaders launched a futile attack on the Ukrainian defenders' positions.

In the Kursk sector, 18 firefights took place. The Russian troops made 182 artillery attacks, including two from multiple launch rocket systems, and carried out 17 air strikes, dropping 28 guided aerial bombs.

 In the Huliaipole and Prydniprovskyi sectors, no combat engagements were registered yesterday.

Along the border with Belarus, no signs of Russian offensive groups were detected.

  • Over the past 24 hours, the occupying Russian army lost another 1,100 troops and hundreds of pieces of equipment and weapons on the frontline in Ukraine.
