139 firefights occur at front over last day, Russian forces attack in 11 sectors - Ukraine's General Staff

This is stated in the report of the Ukrainian Armed Forces' General Staff as of 8:00 a.m. on July 6.

According to the updated information, yesterday the aggressor launched six missile strikes (using 12 missiles), 55 air strikes (involving 72 KABs), carried out more than 3 thousand attacks, 105 of them from multiple launch rocket systems.

The Russian forces carried out air strikes, in particular, in the area of 6 settlements in Kharkiv region; 8 in Donetsk region; and 1 in Zaporizhzhia region.

Over the past day, the aviation, missile forces and artillery of the Ukrainian Defense Forces hit two artillery systems, an ammunition depot, an electronic warfare station, six areas of personnel concentration and another important Russia's object.

Frontline situation

Thus, in the Kharkiv direction, the Russian army continues offensive and assault actions with the support of aviation, a total of 8 combat clashes took place in the areas of Vovchansk, Hlyboke, Starytsia, and Lyptsi.

The number of combat clashes in the Kupyansk direction increased to five over the day. Ukrainian defense forces repelled hostile attacks in the areas of Synkivka and Petropavlivka in the Kharkiv region.

In the Lyman direction, Ukrainian troops prevented 21 invaders' attacks near 3 localities in Luhansk region, 1 more in Donetsk region and in the Serebryansky forest.

In the Siversk direction, the Defense Forces rebuffed seven attacks in the areas of Spirne and Vyimka in Donetsk region and Bilohorivka in Luhansk region.

In the Kramatorsk direction, Ukrainian defenders stopped ten Russia's attempts to break through Ukraine's defense in the areas of Klishchiivka, Kalynivka, Ivanivske and Andriivka in Donetsk region.

In the Toretsk direction, the Russian aggressor is quite active, having carried out 18 attacks in the vicinity of Toretsk, Pivnichne and New York in the Donetsk region. The actions were supported by air strikes.

In the Pokrovsk direction, Ukrainian defenders repulsed 45 attacks near 9 populated areas in the Donetsk region.

In the Kurakhove direction, the Defense Forces continue to hold back their enemy in the areas of Krasnohorivka, Nevelske and Kostiantynivka, where the Russian units tried to break through the defense of Ukrainian troops nine times.

In the Vremivka direction, Russia launched seven attacks on Ukraine's positions near Kostiantynivka, Vodiane and Makarivka in the Donetsk region.

Two combat clashes took place in the Orikhiv direction. The Russian enemy faced a fierce rebuff near Mala Tokmachka.

In the Prydniprovskyi direction, the occupation forces continue their attempts to drive the Ukrainian Defense Forces units from their positions on the bridgeheads on the left bank of the Dnipro River. All five attacks by the Russian invaders failed.

The situation in the northeastern border area remained unchanged. There are no signs of Russia's offensive groups forming.

Near the state Ukrainian border with Russia and Belarus, the Russian enemy maintains a military presence, conducts sabotage and reconnaissance activities, and shells settlements from the territory of the Russian Federation.
