Tribute honoring hero commander: Ukrainian artists create murals near war zone
This was announced by Acting Mayor of Sumy, Artem Kobzar.
"On April 13, during a missile strike, Kyrylo was riding a bus with his mother on the way to training. While most people were gripped by fear, he didn’t panic: he bravely broke a window, unlocked the door, and helped other passengers get out. Then he went on to assist the wounded in the street," Kobzar said.
The boy was awarded the medal on behalf of the Sumy City Council and also received a voucher for a two-week vacation in Bulgaria at the children’s camp Mandarin.
