122 combat clashes occur at frontline, Russia puts most pressure on Pokrovsk, Toretsk sectors - General Staff

Over the last day, July 26, 122 combat clashes were reported at the frontline. In the Pokrovsk sector, Ukrainian troops stopped 37 Russia's attacks

This is stated in the General Staff's report. Over the past day, 122 combat clashes were recorded at the frontline.

Russian attacks across Ukraine

According to updated information, yesterday the Russian army launched a missile attack on the Ukrainian positions and settlements using one missile, as well as 80 air strikes, including 117 drones. In addition, it carried out 4,636 attacks, 71 of which were from multiple launch rocket systems.

The Russian aggressor carried out air strikes near 9 settlements in Kharkiv region; 19 in Donetsk region; 4 in Zaporizhzhia and 1 in Kherson region.

Situation in the main frontline areas

In the Kharkiv direction, 10 combat clashes took place in the area of Hlyboke, Slobozhanske and Vovchansk. 

In the Kupyansk direction, the number of Russian attacks amounted to seven over the day. Defense forces repelled assaults near 4 populated areas.

In the Lyman direction, Russia attacked 12 times in the area of 4 localities and in the Serebryansky forest. 

In the Siverskyi direction, Ukrainian defenders repelled three Russian assault attacks near Verkhnekamianske and Ivan-Daryivka.

In the Kramatorsk direction, the occupation forces attacked five times in the areas of Hryhorivka and Chasiv Yar.

In the Toretsk direction, the Russian troops, with the support of aviation, carried out 19 attacks near Pivnichne, Zalizne, New York and Toretsk.

In the Pokrovsk direction, Ukraine's defenders stopped 37 attacks in the area of 8 settlements. The largest concentration of hostile attacks was near Novooleksandrivka.

In the Kurakhove direction, the Ukrainian Armed Forces repelled 14 attacks near 5 populated areas, where the Russian units tried to break through Ukraine's defenses. 

In the Vremivka direction, according to updated information, Russia made six attacks on Ukraine's positions near Staromlynivka, Vodiane and Kostiantynivka.

In the Orikhiv direction, the occupation forces continue their attempts to drive the Defense Forces units from their positions in the areas of Mala Tokmachka, Robotyne and Novoandriivka, carrying out a total of seven attacks.

The situation in the Prydniprovskyi direction remained unchanged. Russia launched an air strike near Tiahynka. 

On the border with Belarus, no signs of Russian offensive groups were detected.

On the northeastern border with Russia and Belarus, the Russian Armed Forces maintain a military presence and continue shelling settlements from the territory of the Russian Federation.  

Russia's losses

Ukrainian soldiers are inflicting significant losses in manpower and equipment on the occupation forces, depleting the Russian enemy along the entire front line and in the rear.

Yesterday, the aviation and missile forces and artillery of the Ukrainian Defense Forces conducted three strikes on the areas of Russian personnel concentration, as well as destroyed an artillery system, two radar stations and one Buk missile system.

  • Over the past day on July 26, the Russian occupation army lost at least 1,210 soldiers, an air defense system, 11 tanks and 45 artillery systems in the war in Ukraine.
