116 clashes occur at front on Feb. 12: Russia launches over 5,000 strikes on Ukraine

Over the past day, 116 combat clashes were recorded on the Russian-Ukrainian front. Russian forces are most active in the Pokrovsk, Novopavlivka, and Kursk sectors

The Ukrainian Armed Forces' General Staff stated this in its report as of 08:00 a.m.

According to updated information, yesterday Russian forces launched two missile strikes and 88 airstrikes on the positions of Ukrainian units and populated areas, using seven missiles and dropping 128 guided bombs. In addition, they launched more than 5,800 attacks, including 137 from multiple launch rocket systems, and deployed 3,038 kamikaze drones.

The Russian army carried out airstrikes on the settlements of Tymofiivka in the Kharkiv region, Novopil and Dolyna in the Donetsk region, and Kamianske and Pyatykhatky in the Zaporizhzhia region.

Over the past day, the aviation, missile forces and artillery of the Ukrainian Defense Forces hit five Russian UAV control points, an air defense system, a Russian manpower and weapons concentration area, and two radar stations.

Frontline situation

In the Kupiansk sector, eight Russian attacks took place over the past day. The Ukrainian Defense Forces repelled attacks near Kindrashivka, Petropavlivka, Stepova Novoselivka, Novoosynove, Pishchane, Lozova, and Zahryzove.

In the Lyman sector, Russian forces launched nine attacks, attempting to advance near Kopanky, Novomykhailivka, Novolyubivka, Yampolivka, and Kolodiazi.

In the Siversk sector, four Russian attacks were repelled by Ukrainian defenders near Bilohorivka and Verkhnokamianske.

In the Kramatorsk sector, seven clashes were recorded near Chasiv Yar and Vasyukivka.

In the Toretsk sector, Russian forces carried out 11 attacks near Toretsk and Shcherbynivka.

In the Pokrovsk sector, Ukrainian defenders stopped 34 Russian assaults near Vodiane Druhe, Yelyzavetivka, Promin, Zvirove, Nadiivka, Uspenivka, Andriivka, Oleksandrivka, Dachne, Zelene Pole, Ulakly, and Shevchenko.

In the Novopavlivka sector, Russian forces attacked Ukrainian positions 17 times near Kostiantynopil, Burlatske, and Rivnopil.

In the Huliaipole sector, Russian troops launched airstrikes on the settlement of Kamianske.

In the Orikhiv sector, Ukrainian forces successfully repelled Russian attacks near Shcherbaky and Kamianske.

In the Kharkiv and Prydniprovskyi sectors, Russian forces did not conduct any offensive actions.

In the Kursk region, Ukrainian Defense Forces repelled 18 attacks by Russian troops over the past day. Russian forces fired 527 times, launched 19 airstrikes, and used 28 guided bombs.

On the border with Belarus, no signs of Russian offensive groups were detected.

Ukrainian troops are inflicting significant losses on occupying Russian forces in terms of personnel, equipment, and actively undermining Russia’s offensive potential behind the lines.

  • Over the past day, the occupying Russian army lost at least 1,250 soldiers and multiple vehicles and weapons along the Russian-Ukrainian front.
