107 combat clashes: Ukraine's General Staff names hottest frontline directions

Since the start of September 4, there have been 107 combat engagements along the frontline. Russian forces have been most active in the Kurakhove and Pokrovsk sectors

Ukraine's General Staff reported the information.

Throughout the day, Russian forces have conducted air strikes and artillery shelling in the border areas of Sumy and Chernihiv regions. There have been 5 air strikes using 11 guided aerial bombs.

Russia targeted Sumy, Tokari, Nova Sloboda, Yampil, and Yunakivka. Artillery shelling affected Sydorivka, Novovasylivka, Slavhorod, Popivka, Vysoke, Pokrovka, Boiaro-Lezhachi, Zarichchia, Dmytrivka, Mykhalchyna Sloboda, and Chuikivka.

Frontline situation

In the Kharkiv sector, there has been one ongoing firefight near Vovchansk since the start of the day.

In the Kupyansk sector, Russian troops have attempted to storm Ukrainian positions near Synkivka, Hlushkivka, Lozova, Berestove, and Miasozharivka 14 times, with fighting continuing.

In the Lyman sector, Russia has attacked the areas of Druzheliubivka, Hrekivka, Makiivka, Novosadove, Nevske, and Torske. There have been 11 combat engagements in this sector today, with four ongoing.

In the Siversk sector, Russia continues to attempt to break through Ukrainian defenses but is being strongly repelled by Ukrainian forces. For example, near Ivano-Darivka, Russia made one push against Ukrainian units.

In the Kramatorsk sector, Russian troops have made one attempt to dislodge Ukrainian forces from their positions today. Additionally, Russia launched unguided aerial missiles at Chasiv Yar.

In the Toretsk sector, Russia has attacked Ukrainian positions eight times, supported by attack and bomber aircraft. A firefight is ongoing near New York.

The situation in the Pokrovsk sector remains highly tense. Intense fighting occurs in Vozdvyzhenka, Zelene Pole, Novohrodivka, Hrodivka, Selydove, Mykolaivka, and Myroliubivka. Russia has launched 31 attacks on Ukrainian positions so far, with combat continuing in eight locations. Russian aircraft have also targeted areas near Oleksandropil and Selydove with guided aerial bombs and unguided aerial missiles.

The situation in the Kurakhove sector is challenging. Russia has launched 32 attacks on Ukrainian units today, attempting to advance near Krasnohorivka, Heorhiivka, and Kostiantynivka.

In the Vremivka sector, two Russian assaults toward Vodiane and Kostiantynivka have been successfully repelled.

In the Orikhiv sector, Russia made one attempt to advance near Robotyne but was met with strong resistance and driven back.

In the Prydniprovskyi sector, Ukrainian forces repelled five Russian attacks, preventing any Russian gains.

  • Over the last day, the Russian army lost 1,390 soldiers in the war in Ukraine. Ukrainian forces destroyed 7 tanks and 43 drones.
