Russia tries to retain control over Kherson region amid limited logistics, demoralized troops, evacuated leadership - OC South
Operational Command South (OC South) says that invading Russian forces are trying to hold on to the Kherson region despite limited logistics, demoralization, and the evacuation of their leadership
This was reported by OC South.
“The situation in the operational zone in the Southern Bug direction has not undergone any significant changes: it remains difficult, but controlled. The Ukrainian Defense Forces are holding the lines, and stabilization measures are being carried out in the liberated territories. The enemy is trying to maintain the defense in conditions of limited logistics, demoralization of the military, evacuation measures of state institutions, and management staff. At the same time, the counter-battery confrontation continues along the contact line,” the report says.
Ukraine's Armed Forces also noted that the Russian troops continue to hit communities near the front. The aggressor uses army aviation, MLRS, artillery and mortars.
Russia is attacking the rear areas with rocket strikes from the sky, kamikaze drones, MLRS, and heavy artillery.
