Russia targets Kherson region killing 2 civilians, injuring 6

On Sunday afternoon, September 24, Russian forces launched an artillery assault on Kherson with and air attacks on the towns of Beryslav and Lvove, Kherson region. The attacks resulted in two civilians losing their lives and at least six were injured

The head of the Kherson city military administration, Roman Mrachko, reported the shelling of Kherson.

According to him, at 12:50 p.m. Russian troops fired artillery at the Korabelnyi district of Kherson. As a result of the attacks, private houses were damaged.

As of now, there are reports of at least six civilian victims. 

Later, the Kherson Regional Military Administration reported the consequences of the Russian attack on the city.

"Shattered windows, fallen roofs, putty that has fallen off the walls. Tree branches on the road, asphalt covered with glass and debris. Four people are injured. These are the consequences of another strike on the center of Kherson," wrote the head of the head of the Kherson Regional Military Administration Oleksandr Prokudin. 

According to him, the victims are men aged 80 and 50. At the time of the shelling, they were just going to the store. Now the victims are in the hospital, doctors assess their condition as moderate. 

Prokudin added that two more people, 54-year-old and 81-year-old men, received light injuries. They will be treated on an outpatient basis.

Earlier, Russian troops attacked the Kherson region. This information was provided by Oleksandr Prokudin, the head of Kherson regional military administration. 

It's important to note that the Russian military used aircraft to bombard Beryslav. A woman lost her life in this shelling, and efforts are underway to identify her.

A 33-year-old police officer was among the injured, along with a 48-year-old man and a 60-year-old woman, who sustained injuries of varying degrees of severity.

All the victims have been taken to the hospital, where they are receiving the necessary medical care.

Furthermore, the airstrikes in Lvove also caused the death of a 67-year-old man.
  • A day earlier, Russian militants attacked the village of Mykolaivka in the Kherson region, as well as the city of Kherson. These attacks resulted in the tragic loss of a woman's life and injuries to two men.
