Kharkiv and Kharkiv region

Kharkiv Mayor Ihor Terekhov reports that there are hits in the city.

"The enemy is attacking Kharkiv. There are hits on civilian objects in one of the city's districts. There is a fire, which is being localized by our rescuers," Terekhov wrote at around 1 a.m.

Kharkiv regional prosecutor's office spokesman Dmytro Chubenko told Suspilne that Russia had launched about 10 strikes on Kharkiv and its suburbs.

"As a result of one of the strikes, a service station caught fire: garages and cars were on fire. A two-story building nearby was partially destroyed. It was not a residential building, but there are sleeping places inside for people who have left the Russian-occupied territories. Rescuers are now clearing the rubble," said Chubenko.

The State Emergency Service reported that a total of 5 fires broke out due to the strikes.

"The largest fire broke out in one of the Kharkiv districts . An administrative building, an abandoned sewing shop, a service station, garages, 8 cars and a residential building with a total area of over 1000 square meters were caught in flames.  There was a threat of the fire spreading to other buildings. The fire has been localized and is being liquidated," the press service wrote.

The rescuers added that, according to preliminary data, there were no casualties.

The head of the Regional Military Administration Syniehubov said that Kharkiv was attacked by 4 Shahed drones. He added that an educational institution was partially destroyed.  Interior Minister Ihor Klymenko said that a three-story building on the territory of one of the colleges was partially destroyed.
