War veterans killed and injured more than 200 Russians since start of full-scale invasion - media
At least 107 Russian civilians have been killed by war veterans who returned from the front in Ukraine over the past two years, and another 100 survived but were seriously injured

Residents of 64 regions of Russia, as well as unrecognized South Ossetia (one person died there), became victims of the crimes of "veterans of the special military operation" in Ukraine.
The most common crime involving deaths and injuries was intentional infliction of serious harm to health that is life-threatening (Article 111 of the Criminal Code). Participants of the war who returned committed at least 87 such crimes, which resulted in 18 deaths.
The sentences in these cases range from 5.5 to 10 years and 8 months in a strict regime colony for PMC mercenaries and from 6 to 9.5 years in a strict regime colony for other fighters. The "veterans" also committed at least 55 crimes under the article on murder (105 of the Criminal Code), which resulted in the deaths of 76 people. At the same time, 36 pardoned ex-prisoners accounted for 44 victims, and 19 volunteers and military personnel were responsible for another 32. The terms of the former's sentences range from 6 to 11 years in a strict regime colony, and the latter's - from 7.5 to 10 years in a strict regime colony.

The Novaya Gazeta Europe, in turn, notes that since the beginning of the full-scale invasion of Ukraine, at least 2,605 former and current participants in the war have been charged with criminal offenses.
