Russia suspends participation in grain deal
On Saturday, October 29 Russia announced the suspension of the obligations under the agreement on the safe export of Ukrainian grain from the Black Sea ports
This statement was made by the Ministry of Defense of the aggressor country.
A "terrorist act" allegedly organized by Ukraine and Great Britain was named reason for such a decision.
"Taking into account the terrorist act by the Kyiv regime with the participation of British experts against the ships of the Black Sea Fleet and civilian vessels involved in ensuring the security of the "grain corridor", the Russian side is suspending participation in the implementation of agreements regarding the export of agricultural products from Ukrainian ports," the ministry of defense said in a statement.
The UN-brokered deal was signed in July to allow shipments of Ukrainian grain to be exported from blockaded Black Sea ports.
The agreement between Ukraine and Russia was due to expire on 19 November.
