Russia speeds up and expands military trainings for junior officers to send them to frontline - Ukraine's Defence Intelligence
Russia's military leadership is trying to scale up junior lieutenant training to send them to war in Ukraine as soon as possible
The Defense Intelligence of Ukraine (HUR) reports.
"This decision by Moscow is due to the heavy junior officer losses of the invading Russian army during the war against Ukraine," the statement reads.
It is noted that those who have passed accelerated training and received the primary officer rank are immediately sent to the front. Russia is also trying to strengthen the combat capability of assault units. Men from the temporarily occupied Ukrainian territories are being deployed there.
"At the same time, the vengeful Moscow leaders are not satisfied with Ukraine's defeat in the Black Sea: among the Russians' intentions for 2024 is to prepare special groups to carry out sabotage attacks and provocations in the territory of the free Ukrainian regions in the south," the HUR adds.
- Starting in 2024, Russian invaders intend to register children born in 2007 for military service. They have already drafted the regulations and started preparations.
