Russia shells Bakhmut area 249 times in a day
According to the spokesman of the Eastern Grouping of the Ukrainian Armed Forces Serhiy Cherevatyi, Russian troops have shelled the Bakhmut direction, Donetsk region, 249 times over January 10
Serhiy Cherevatyi shared the information on the United News national telethon.
"Over the last day, 249 attacks with various types of artillery took place in the Bakhmut direction," he said.
The spokesman stressed that in the summer of 2022, Russian troops fired artillery shells almost unlimitedly, but now they are concentrating on certain areas.
"Soledar is not under the control of the Russian military. The situation in the town is difficult, but the Armed Forces of Ukraine keep it under control. In summer, Russian troops would fire 122-mm and 152-mm shells unlimitedly, and now they are focused on specific areas: Bakhmut, Avdiivka and Lyman. Near populated areas that will allow them to conduct offensive operations. At the moment they cannot afford constant fire. They already need to deliver ammunition from a greater distance. They are already looking for ammunition in different countries to buy. Such incredible intensity of the war can be compared only with World War II. We are constantly destroying their warehouses, systems and deliveries," said Serhiy Cherevatyi.
- On January 10, Ukrainian soldiers repelled Russian attacks near the settlements of Kharkiv, Luhansk and Donetsk regions. Russian forces deprived almost 1,500 Zaporizhzhia NPP employees of passes and access to the plant.
