Russians claim attack on Belgorod, Volgograd, Kursk regions: allegedly there are victims
On Saturday, May 11, the Belgorod, Volgograd, and Kursk regions of Russia reported a nighttime drone attack that allegedly injured local residents
This was reported by regional governors Vyacheslav Gladkov and Roman Starovoit.
According to the head of the Belgorod region, a Russian air defense system was activated over the region at night and shot down several air targets on the approach to Belgorod.
According to Gladkov, eight civilians were injured in the attack: three from the village of Novosadove and two from Dubove. Three people were allegedly treated on the spot, the rest were hospitalized.
The governor added that after the air defense work in Novosadove, damage was recorded in 21 private houses and one outbuilding: windows were smashed, facades, roofs and fences were broken. In three other villages, roofs were pierced, facades were cut and windows were smashed, and cars were damaged.
In addition, the head of the Kursk region said that as a result of the use of electronic warfare in the village of Tim, 2 Ukrainian aircraft-type UAVs were intercepted. One of them allegedly crashed near an outbuilding and damaged the glazing of residential buildings.
Later, the Russian Ministry of Defense reported that last night it had allegedly stopped “a number of attempts by the Kyiv regime to carry out terrorist attacks on the territory of the Russian Federation using the RM-70 Vampire multiple launch rocket system and aircraft-type unmanned aerial vehicles.”
Thus, according to the Russians, air defense destroyed 21 rockets and 9 UAVs over the territory of the Belgorod region, and another 7 drones were allegedly intercepted and destroyed over the territories of the Kursk and Volgograd regions.

Meanwhile, on May 10, the border communities of the Kharkiv region came under intense shelling by the Russian Federation. The attacks killed three people and injured four others.
