Russia prepares new disinformation push on "dirty bomb" threat in Mariupol
Russia is reportedly preparing to launch another major disinformation campaign, alleging that preparations are underway in Russian-occupied Mariupol, the Donetsk region, to manufacture a "dirty bomb"
Petro Andriushchenko, head of the Center For The Study Of Occupation (CSO), reported the information.
Russia is disseminating claims that an elevated radiation level has allegedly been detected at Mariupol's School No. 57, further stating that the school is currently "under restoration," assuring that there is no threat to students.
"Previously, we would have just laughed it off, like the biolab at the sanitation station or the combat pigeons (Russian conspiracy theories being used to justify invasion of Ukraine – ed.). However, given the influence in the U.S. through figures like Tucker and other conspiracy theorists, we believe it’s crucial to raise awareness at the stage of informational preparation, rather than after the fact," Andriushchenko emphasized.
- The Russian army increased the supply of weapons, including armored vehicles, and significantly reinforced defensive lines in the Mariupol direction.
