Russia prepares for new wave of aggression, wants to intensify pressure on larger scale - Zelenskyy

The President of Ukraine said this in his evening address.

“Russia is preparing for a new wave of aggression - with the forces it is able to mobilize. Now the occupiers are already increasing the pressure on the Bakhmut, Vuhledar and other directions. And they want to increase the pressure on a larger scale,” he emphasizes.

According to Zelenskyy, in order not to recognize the fallacy of aggression, the Russian authorities want to throw more of their people and equipment into combat operations.  Therefore, Ukraine needs to strengthen cooperation with its allies.

“And therefore, all of us in the free world should strengthen our cooperation in order not only to respond to the next Russian criminal actions. Although this will happen, of course. There will be a response. And to prevent new Russian criminal actions as much as possible,” he said. 

The president added that the initiative in the war should remain with Ukrainian forces.

• Before that, Zelenskyy said that the world needs to see reality, and the discussions on providing tanks to Ukraine should be concluded with solutions.
