Russia plans construction of "machine-building concern" on occupied Azovmash — National Resistance Center
Russia is planning to establish a so-called “machine-building concern” on the basis of the captured and destroyed Azovmash Iron and Steel Works plant in Mariupol, Donetsk region
The National Resistance Center reported the information.
It noted that Russia’s plans are far from reality, given that the industrial potential of the region has been destroyed by the Russians themselves and is still undergoing destruction.
Representatives of the resistance once again state the marauding logic of Russian thinking.
The Center also notes that Russian engineers who will arrive in the region to rebuild the destroyed industrial complex will become a target for the Resistance Movement.
For reference: Azovmash Public Joint Stock Company is a management company, one of the largest machine-building concerns in Ukraine in the field of fire-engineering, heavy and general engineering. It is the legal successor of Zhdanovtyazhmash Research and Production Association founded in 1957 in Mariupol.
For reference: Prior to the Russian occupation of Mariupol in 2022, Azovmash was the largest machine-building enterprise in Ukraine specializing in the production of equipment for the mining and metallurgical complex, tank cars, port cranes, boilers, fuel tankers, etc. At the beginning of the full-scale invasion, some of the Ukrainian defenders, including marines from the 36th Brigade, were on the plant's territory. Subsequently, some of the military joined the fighters at Azovstal, while others surrendered to Russian troops.

In addition, earlier reports indicated that the Avdiivka Coke Plant would be impossible to restore after the war due to the destruction caused by Russia.
