Russia offers Ukrainians in Kherson region Crimea "rehabilitation" trips for kids, real agenda is to take them hostage - regional council member
Due to Ukrainian Armed Forces' counteroffensive, Russia is offering Ukrainians in the Kherson region the opportunity to take their children on "rehabilitation" trips to Russian-occupied Crimea. Their real agenda is to take them hostage.
Sergiy Khlan, Deputy of the Kherson Regional Council, reports on his Facebook page.
He says that the occupying "administration" of the Kherson region announced school holidays from October 6 to 21, allegedly at the request of parents. During the holidays, children are offered to go to the annexed Crimea for recovery.
Sergiy Khlan reports that all this is being done with the aim of taking children hostage, since similar "initiatives" were already carried out in Kharkiv region before the counteroffensive of Ukrainian Armed Forces, Russians persuaded 13 Ukrainian families to send their children to summer children's camps in order to "protect them from bullets". After Russians fled from the Kharkiv region, no one returned the children.
"Parents, Russians do not want to heal Ukrainian children, this is a provocation. They want to take the children hostage, kidnap them, resettle them," he writes.
He also emphasizes that Russia will bear responsibility for such actions, but for now, parents should do everything possible to protect their children.
