Russia should be convinced politically, economically, and militarily that continuing this war is pointless. It is important to convey to Russian society that this war is not only against Ukraine but also against them.
This was stated by retired Bundeswehr general and head of the Berlin Security Conference Reinhard Wolski in an interview with Anton Borkovsky, the host of the Studio Zakhid program on Espreso TV.
"We must realize and accept that Russia should be convinced politically, economically, and militarily that continuing this war is senseless. There are also additional approaches, including encouraging the outflow of Russian engineers who might seek opportunities outside the country. On a domestic level, it is important to convey to Russian society, particularly those in regions less dependent on the center, that this war is not only against Ukraine but also against them," he believes.
According to Wolski, this should be a coordinated combination of efforts in political, informational, and social spheres.
"Only such a comprehensive approach can bring us closer to ending the war. It is also important to consider the influence of China, which is a significant factor in this conflict, as well as the decisive role of the United States, without which no strategic decision will be complete," the general concluded.
