Russia maintains large group of troops on Dnipro right bank - Zhurets
Serhiy Zhurets, an expert at Defense Express, told Espreso TV that Russia continues to maintain a significant group of troops in Kherson region.
"The fate of Kherson city is becoming more and more intriguing. Because there are claims about the withdrawal of Russian troops from the right bank of the Dnipro River. However, the Institute for the Study of War expressed doubts that Russia will withdraw the most combat-capable units from this part of the combat zone," explained Zhurets.
The expert added that Russia is relocating a large number of recently mobilized Russians to the right bank of the Dnipro River.
"Actually, the situation around Kherson can unfold in various scenarios. Russia is saturating this territory with recently recruited, poorly trained military personnel. By doing this, they are trying to preserve the most combat-capable units of the Russian army. Our [Ukrainian] military confirm that Russia is indeed relocating a considerable amount of recruits to Kherson. This poses a problem for the Armed Forces, since it will take some time to dislodge such a large number of soldiers from Ukrainian territory," he added.
