Russia loses twice as many aircraft in Ukraine as USSR lost in 10-year Afghanistan war

The Commander-in-Chief of Ukraine's Armed Forces, Valerii Zaluzhnyi, wrote this on Telegram.
“During the full-scale aggression, the Ukrainian defenders destroyed twice as many Russian aircraft as were lost by the Soviet Union during the 10-year war in Afghanistan - 278 Russian aircraft in Ukraine against 118 Soviet aircraft in Afghanistan,” he wrote.
“This war is a shame for the Russian Federation and will cause its collapse!” Zaluzhnyi added.
