The operational situation in eastern and southern Ukraine remains challenging.
Near the state Ukrainian border with Belarus, the situation hasn't changed significantly, and no enemy offensive groups have been detected.
At the same time, the Russian army continued shelling the entire borderline with mortars and artillery.
Russian attacks in frontline Ukrainian regions
In the Kupyansk direction, the Ukrainian Defense Forces repelled 7 Russian attacks.
In the Lyman direction, the Ukrainian army repelled 24 attacks by the invading Russian troops.
In the Bakhmut direction, 4 enemy attacks were repelled. The Ukrainian Defense Forces continue their assault operations south of Bakhmut in the Donetsk region, inflicting losses in manpower and equipment on the enemy, and consolidating their positions.
In the Avdiivka direction, Ukrainian defenders are steadfastly holding the line, inflicting significant losses on the enemy, and repelling 22 attacks.
In the Marinka direction, 11 Russian assaults were unsuccessful.
In the Shakhtarsk direction, Ukrainian forces are fighting the enemy.
In the Zaporizhzhia and Kherson directions, Ukrainian forces are defending their positions, destroying the Russian army.
At the same time, the Ukrainian Defense Forces continue to conduct an offensive operation in the Melitopol sector, inflicting losses in manpower and equipment on the occupation forces, and exhausting the enemy along the entire front line.
Russia launched 11 missile strikes and 28 air strikes against Ukraine
Over the last day, 101 combat engagements took place.
In total, the invading Russian forces launched 11 missile strikes, 28 airstrikes, and 43 attacks with multiple launch rocket systems at the Ukrainian troops’ positions and populated areas.
Russia once again attacked Ukraine's civilian infrastructure with a Kh-31 guided missile and 2 S-300 anti-aircraft missiles. In addition, last night, the Russian troops struck again, using 8 S-300 anti-aircraft guided missiles and 20 Shahed-136/131 attack UAVs. Ukrainian air defense destroyed 14 attack drones.
Private houses, a three-story residential building in Myrnohrad, Donetsk region, and other civilian infrastructure were destroyed and damaged.
Over 110 settlements in the Sumy, Kharkiv, Luhansk, Donetsk, Zaporizhzhia, Dnipro, Kherson and Mykolaiv regions came under artillery fire.
Defense Forces destroyed 3 Russian control points and 2 munitions depots
Over the past day, the Defense Forces’ aviation launched 2 strikes on the invading Russian troops’ military positions and 2 more on the anti-aircraft missile systems.
The missile troops hit 3 control points, 2 munitions depots, and 2 manpower concentration areas.
