Russia loses air defense equipment, 12 tanks, 23 artillery systems, 680 soldiers per day – General Staff

This was reported by the General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces on November 1.

Russia's total combat losses from February 24, 2022 to November 1, 2023 are approximately:

Russia keeps trying to surround Avdiivka, while 68 combat clashes occur at the front

This is stated in the General Staff report. 

In the area of the northern Ukrainian border with Belarus, the operational situation has not changed. 

In the northeastern border area, Russian forces maintain a grouping of troops covering the state border, conducting active sabotage activities in the border areas to prevent the deployment of Ukrainian troops to threatened areas, and increasing the density of minefields along the state border in the Belgorod region.

In the Kupyansk direction, Russian troops conducted unsuccessful assault operations near Synkivka, Ivanivka, Kharkiv region, and Nadia, Luhansk region. The Ukrainian Armed Forces repelled 10 attacks there.

In the Lyman direction, Russians did not conduct assault actions. 

In the Bakhmut direction, Russian troops also tried to regain lost ground near Klishchiivka and Andriivka, where the Ukrainian military repelled 5 attacks. The enemy also tried to attack Pivdenne, unsuccessfully. The Ukrainian Defense Forces continued their assault operations south of Bakhmut, Donetsk region, inflicting losses in manpower and equipment on Russian troops, and consolidating their positions.

In the Avdiivka direction, Russian troops try to surround Avdiivka, using aviation. Ukrainian soldiers are steadfastly holding the defense, inflicting numerous losses on Russian forces. Russia’s offensive actions near Avdiivka and 4 more settlements in the Donetsk region were unsuccessful; the Ukrainian Defense Forces repelled over 20 attacks.

In the Marinka direction, Russian troops carried out unsuccessful attacks near Marinka and Novomykhailivka, Donetsk region. Ukrainian soldiers repelled over 20 attacks.

In the Shakhtarsk direction, Ukrainian defenders repelled the assault near Prechystivka and Zolota Nyva, Donetsk region.

In the Zaporizhzhia direction, the enemy tried to regain lost positions near Robotyne, unsuccessfully. 

In the Kherson direction, the Ukrainian Defence Forces conduct counter-battery operations, destroy Russian depots, and successfully strike at the enemy's rear.

The Ukrainian Defence Forces are conducting an offensive operation in the Melitopol direction, inflicting losses in manpower and equipment on the occupying forces, consolidating their positions, and exhausting Russian troops.

The Russian military launched 8 missile strikes and 97 airstrikes against Ukraine

In total, the Russian enemy carried out 8 missile strikes and 97 air strikes, along with 84 MLRS attacks on Ukrainian military positions and civilian areas. These attacks resulted in casualties among civilians and damage to residential buildings and other civilian infrastructure.

During the night, Russian forces conducted an air-missile attack on Ukraine, using Kh-59 guided air missiles and 20 Shahed-136/131 type attack drones. Ukrainian air defense successfully intercepted and destroyed 1 missile and 18 attack drones.

The following areas were affected by the airstrikes: Pischane, Novoserhiivka, Cherneshchyna, Synkivka, Petropavlivka, Podoly in the Kharkiv region; Serebrianka Forestry, Makiivka in the Luhansk region; Verkhniokamianske, Oleksandropil, Orlivka, Spirne, Novobakhmutivka, Ocheretyne, Avdiivka, Lastochkine, Kostyantynivka, Hannivka, Novomykhailivka in the Donetsk region; Malynivka, Novodanylivka in the Zaporizhzhia region; Urozhayne, Mykilske, Ivanivka, Beryslav, Kozatske, Sadove, Tyahynka, Lvove in the Kherson region.

More than 140 settlements in the Chernihiv, Sumy, Kharkiv, Luhansk, Donetsk, Zaporizhzhia, Kherson, and Mykolaiv regions were targeted by artillery fire.

The AFU targeted and destroyed 3 radar stations and 2 enemy munitions depots

In the last 24 hours, the Defense Forces' Air Force conducted 15 airstrikes on areas with enemy personnel, weapons, and military equipment. They also targeted 1 enemy command post and 2 anti-aircraft missile systems.

The Ukrainian missile units successfully destroyed 3 radar stations, 2 munitions depots, 1 area with enemy personnel, weapons, and military equipment, and disabled 8 enemy artillery pieces.

• The Institute for the Study of War reported that on October 31, the Ukrainian military made an attempt to breach the Russian defense near Pishchanivka and Poyma. Ukrainian Armed Forces currently maintain positions in Krynky and near the Antonivsky roadway.
