Russia loses about 52,900 soldiers, 4,640  armored fighting vehicles, 243 aircraft since starting war in Ukraine

The Ukrainian Armed Forces' General Staff shared their regular report, as below.

The total Russian combat losses from February 24 to August 17 amounted to:

•  personnel - about 52,950 (+300 per day) 

•   tanks - 2,168 (+14)

•   armored fighting vehicles - 4,640 (+10) 

•   artillery systems - 1269 (+6)

•   MLRS - 311 

•   air defense systems - 162

•   aircraft - 243

•   helicopters - 213

•   vehicles and tank trucks - 3,054 (+5) 

•   ships/boats - 15

•   UAV operational-tactical level - 903 (+0)

•   special equipment - 117 (+0)

•   cruise missiles - 216(+0) 

During the day, Russian forces suffered the greatest losses in the Kryvyi Rih  and Donetsk directions.
