Russia loses about 45,500 soldiers, 1,921 tanks and 817 UAVs since starting war in Ukraine

The Ukrainian Armed Forces' General Staff shared their regular report, as below.

The total Russian combat losses from February 24 to August 23 amounted to:

•  personnel - about 45,550 (+150 per day) 

•   tanks - 1,921 (+2)

•   armored fighting vehicles - 4,238 (+8) 

•   artillery systems - 1,033 (+1)

•   MLRS - 266

•   air defense systems - 146 (+1)

•   aircraft - 234

•   helicopters - 198

•   vehicles and tank trucks - 3,150 (+1) 

•   ships/boats - 15

•   UAV operational-tactical level - 817 (+2)

•   special equipment - 99

•   cruise missiles - 196 (+2)

On August 22, Russian forces suffered the greatest losses in the Donetsk direction.
