Russia loses about 44,300 soldiers, 234 aircrafts and 197 helicopters since starting war in Ukraine

The Ukrainian Armed Forces' General Staff shared their regular report, as below.

The total Russian combat losses from February 24 to August 18  amounted to:

•  personnel - about 44,300 (+200 per day) 

•   tanks - 1,889 (+3)

•   armored fighting vehicles - 4,179 (+17) 

•   artillery systems -1010(+17)

•   MLRS - 265

•   air defense systems - 265(+2)

•   aircraft - 234(+1)

•   helicopters - 197(+1)

•   vehicles and tank trucks - 3,061 (+7) 

•   ships/boats - 15

•   UAV operational-tactical level - 793 (+1)

•   special equipment - 93 (+1)

•   cruise missiles - 190 

On August 17, Russian forces suffered the greatest losses in Donetsk directions.
