Russia loses 890 soldiers, 5 tanks and 21 artillery systems, General Staff reports

Total Russian combat losses since the beginning of full-scale war

The total combat losses of the Russian Federation from February 24, 2022 to November 7, 2023 are estimated to be as follows:

• personnel - about 306,860 (+890 per day) people
• tanks - 5,293 (+5) units,
• armored combat vehicles - 9,974 (+16) units
• artillery systems - 7,410 (+21) units
• MLRS - 869 (+2) units,
• air defense systems - 570 (+0) units
• aircraft - 322 (+0) units
• helicopters - 324 (+0) units,
• UAVs of operational and tactical level - 5,557 (+3),
• cruise missiles - 1,556 (+0),
• ships/boats - 20 (+0) units
• submarines - 1 (+0) units,
• motor vehicles and tank trucks - 9,767 (+23) units
• special equipment - 1,049 (+2)

Russia shelled over a hundred Ukrainian settlements with artillery

Over the past day, the Russian troops carried out 16 air strikes and fired 54 times from multiple launch rocket systems at Ukrainian troop positions and localities. Unfortunately, Russian terrorist attacks have resulted in civilian casualties and injuries. Residential buildings and other civilian infrastructure were destroyed and damaged.

Russian air strikes hit Novomykhailivka and Rivnopil in Donetsk region, Novodarivka in Zaporizhzhia, Beryslav and Ivanivka in Kherson region. 

Over 100 localities in Chernihiv, Sumy, Kharkiv, Luhansk, Donetsk, Zaporizhzhia and Kherson regions came under artillery fire.

Situation on the main frontlines

In the area of the northern Ukrainian border with Belarus, the operational situation has not changed. 

In the northeastern border area, Russian forces maintain a grouping of troops covering the state border, conducting active sabotage activities in the border areas to prevent the deployment of Ukrainian troops to threatened areas, and increasing the density of minefields along the state border in the Belgorod region.

In the area of responsibility of the Khortytsia operational-strategic group in the Kupyansk direction, the Russian army unsuccessfully stormed near the settlements of Synkivka and Ivanivka in Kharkiv region and Stelmakhivka in Luhansk region, where Ukrainian defenders repelled about 20 hostile attacks.

The Russian invaders did not conduct offensive (assault) actions in the Lyman direction.

In the Bakhmut direction, Ukrainian troops repelled 5 Russian attacks near Bohdanivka and Khromove in Donetsk region. The Russian militants also tried in vain to regain lost ground near Andriivka.

Ukrainian Defense Forces continue assault operations south of Bakhmut, inflicting losses in manpower and equipment on the Russian army, and consolidating their positions.

In the area of responsibility of the Tavria operational-strategic group in the Avdiivka direction, Russia keeps trying to encircle Avdiivka. Ukrainian soldiers are holding the line and inflicting significant losses on the enemy. Russia's offensive in the areas of Stepove, Avdiivka and Tonenke in the Donetsk region was unsuccessful, where the Defense Forces repelled more than 20 attacks.

In the Marinka direction, the Russian troops launched more than 25 unsuccessful attacks in the areas of Krasnohorivka and Marinka, Donetsk region.

In the Shakhtarsk and Zaporizhzhia directions, the Russian army launched futile assault operations near Staromayorske in Donetsk region and 3 more localities in Zaporizhzhia region. Ukraine's defenders repelled over 10 attacks there.

The Ukrainian Defense Forces keep conducting offensive operations in the Melitopol direction, inflicting losses in manpower and equipment on the occupation forces, and exhausting the Russian enemy along the entire front line.

In the area of responsibility of the Odesa operational-strategic group in the Kherson direction, Ukrainian soldiers are carrying out counter-battery combat and inflicting fire damage on Russia's rear.

Ukrainian air defense destroyed Russia's strike and reconnaissance UAV

Over the past day, the aviation of the Defense Forces conducted 6 strikes on the areas of the Russian personnel, weapons and military equipment concentration. A Russian anti-aircraft missile system was also struck. Thanks to the air defense forces and means, a Shahed-136/131 strike UAV and hostile reconnaissance UAV were destroyed.

The missile troops destroyed 3 artillery units, a command post, an area where personnel, weapons and military equipment were concentrated, an air defense system and another important Russian target.
