Russia loses 610 soldiers, 37 artillery systems and 9 tanks in one day of war in Ukraine - General Staff

The Ukrainian Armed Forces' General Staff shared their regular report, as below.

The total Russian combat losses from February 24, 2022, to September 7, 2023, amounted to:

• personnel - about 266,900 (+610 per day) 
• tanks - 4,506 (+9)
• armored fighting vehicles - 8,703 (+21)
• artillery systems - 5,722 (+37)
• MLRS - 753 (+5)
• air defense systems - 506 (+1)
• aircraft - 315
• helicopters - 316
• vehicles and tank trucks - 8,217 (+27)
• ships/boats - 19
• UAV operational-tactical level - 4,541 (+22)
• special equipment - 859 (+7)
• cruise missiles - 1,455 (+8)

General Staff reports 39 combat clashes on the frontline

The General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces reported the information.

In the area of the northern Ukrainian border with Belarus, the operational situation has not changed. 

In the northeastern border area, Russian forces carried out an air strike on a settlement in the Kharkiv region. They also launched mortar and artillery attacks, targeting a total of over 25 settlements across the Chernihiv, Sumy, and Kharkiv regions.

In Kupyansk direction, Russian troops launched air strikes near 3 settlements and shelled 4 settlements across the Kharkiv region.

In Lyman direction, Ukrainian Defense Forces repelled attacks near Novoyehorivka, Luhansk region. Russian troops launched air strikes near 4 settlements and shelled over 10 settlements with artillery.

In Bakhmut direction, Ukrainian Defense Forces repelled attacks near Orikhovo-Vasylivka, Donetsk region. Russian troops launched air strikes near 4 settlements and shelled over 20 more settlements with artillery.

In Avdiivka direction, Russian troops launched an unsuccessful offensive near Avdiivka, an air strike, and shelled over 15 settlements of the Donetsk region with artillery. 

In Marinka direction, the Ukrainian Defense Forces hold back the Russian offensive near the town of Marinka. Russian troops launched an air strike near Krasnohorivka and shelled 4 settlements with artillery.

In Shakhtarsk direction, Russian troops carried out air strikes near 3 settlements and shelled over 15 settlements with artillery.

In Zaporizhzhia direction, Russian troops launched air strikes near 2 settlements across the Zaporizhzhia region. Over 15 settlements came under Russian artillery fire.

In Kherson direction, Russian troops carried out an air strike near a settlement and shelled 3 settlements across the Kherson region, including the city of Kherson.

The Ukrainian army conducts offensives in the Melitopol direction, consolidating their positions and conducting counter-battery operations.

Russian army launches 10 missile strikes and 69 air strikes on Ukraine

Russian troops launched 10 missile attacks, 69 air strikes, and 51 MLRS attacks at the positions of Ukrainian troops and settlements.

The operational situation in eastern and southern Ukraine remains difficult.

Ukrainian defense forces destroy 12 Russian artillery pieces and 2 control points

Over the past day, Ukrainian aviation launched 18 strikes on concentrations of Russian personnel, weapons and military equipment and on the positions of anti-aircraft missile systems.

Ukrainian missile and artillery units destroyed 4 Russian ammunition depots, 12 artillery pieces, 2 control points, 1 anti-aircraft missile system, 1 electronic warfare station, 2 concentrations of personnel, weapons and military equipment.

• On the night of September 7, Russian troops attacked Izmail district, Odesa region, with drones, injuring one person and damaging port infrastructure.
