The General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces reported the information.

In the area of the northern Ukrainian border with Belarus, the operational situation has not changed.

In the northeastern border area, Russian forces maintain a grouping of troops covering the state border, conducting active sabotage activities in the border areas to prevent the deployment of Ukrainian troops to threatened areas, and increasing the density of minefields along the state border in the Belgorod region.

In Kupyansk direction, Russian troops conducted unsuccessful assault operations with the support of aviation near Synkivka and Ivanivka, Kharkiv region.

In Lyman direction, Russian troops did not conduct offensive (assault) actions, they continued to regroup their troops.

In Bakhmut direction, Ukrainian soldiers repelled 5 attacks near Bohdanivka and Khromove, Donetsk region. Russian troops also tried to regain lost ground near Klishchiivka and Andriivka, where Ukrainian defenders repelled 10 attacks. In turn, the Ukrainian Defense Forces continue their assault operations south of Bakhmut in the Donetsk region, inflicting losses in manpower and equipment on Russian troops, and consolidating their positions.

In Avdiivka direction, Russian troops have resumed offensive actions and continue to try to surround Avdiivka. Ukrainian soldiers steadfastly hold the defense, inflicting numerous losses on Russian forces. Russia’s offensive actions near Stepove, Avdiivka, Tonenke, and Sieverne, Donetsk region, were unsuccessful; the Ukrainian Defense Forces repelled over 20 attacks.

In Marinka direction, Russian troops carried out unsuccessful attacks near Marinka and another settlement in the Donetsk region. Ukrainian soldiers repelled 18 attacks.

In Shakhtarsk and Zaporizhzhia directions, Russia maintains a military presence and is regrouping its forces.

In Kherson direction, the Ukrainian Defence Forces conduct counter-battery operations, destroy Russian depots and successfully strike at the enemy's rear.

The Ukrainian Defence Forces are conducting an offensive operation in the Melitopol direction, inflicting losses in manpower and equipment on the occupying forces, consolidating their positions and exhausting Russian troops.

In total, Russia launched 1 missile and 18 air strikes, and 35 MLRS attacks at the positions of Ukrainian troops and populated areas. Unfortunately, Russian terrorist attacks have resulted in deaths and injuries among the civilian population. Private homes and other civilian infrastructure were destroyed and damaged. Also, Russian troops conducted another air strike using Shahed-136/131 attack UAVs.

Ukrainian defense forces destroy a Russian personnel concentration and 2 artillery vehicles

Over the day, Ukrainian aviation struck a concentration of Russian personnel, weapons and military equipment and an anti-aircraft missile system.

Ukrainian missile units hit a concentration of Russian personnel, weapons and military equipment and 2 artillery pieces.

  • The Institute for the Study of War believes that heavy losses of Russian equipment around Avdiivka are likely to undermine Russia's offensive potential in the long term.
