Russia's losses in the full-scale war against Ukraine have reached 246,190 soldiers. Ukrainian Armed Forces have destroyed 6 tanks, 21 artillery systems and 6 UAVs in a day
The Ukrainian Armed Forces' General Staff shared their regular report, as below.
The total Russian combat losses from February 24, 2022, to July 31, 2023, amounted to:
- personnel - about 246,190 (+490 per day)
- tanks - 4,211 (+6)
- armored fighting vehicles - 8,188 (+10)
- artillery systems - 4,816 (+21)
- MLRS - 699 (+1)
- air defense systems - 460 (+1)
- aircraft - 315
- helicopters - 311

Ukrainian Defense Forces consolidate their positions in the Melitopol and Berdiansk directions
The report states that the Ukrainian Defense Forces conduct an offensive operation in the Melitopol and Berdiansk directions, consolidating the gained lines.
Over the past day, the Aviation of the Ukrainian Defense Forces carried out 7 strikes on concentrations of Russian personnel. Moreover, Ukrainian military destroyed 4 Russian Shahed-136 attack UAVs and 4 reconnaissance UAVs of operational and tactical level.
In particular, Ukrainian missile and artillery units destroyed an anti-aircraft missile system, 8 artillery pieces at firing positions, 2 electronic warfare stations, and 2 Russian personnel concentrations.
Russia launches 4 missile attacks, 42 air strikes and 76 MLRS attacks at Ukrainian positions and populated areas
Over the past day, Russian troops launched 4 missile attacks, 42 air strikes and 76 MLRS attacks at Ukrainian troops' positions and populated areas. The threat of further missile and air strikes throughout Ukraine remains high.
In addition, over 20 combat engagements took place during the day.
Situation in different regions of Ukraine
On the northern Ukrainian border with Belarus, the operational situation has not changed.
On the northeastern border with Russia, Russian troops launched mortar and artillery attacks, targeting a total of over 40 settlements across Chernihiv, Sumy, and Kharkiv regions.
In the Kupiansk direction, Russian troops shelled 6 settlements across the Kharkiv region.
In the Lyman direction, Russian forces carried out air strikes near 4 settlements and shelled 6 settlements in Luhansk and Donetsk regions with artillery.
In the Bakhmut direction, Russian troops carried out air strikes near 3 settlements and shelled over 20 settlements in the Donetsk region with artillery.
In the Avdiivka direction, Russian troops launched an air strike near Avdiivka, Donetsk region, and shelled over 15 settlements with artillery.
In the Marinka direction, Russian troops shelled over 10 settlements in the Donetsk region with artillery.
In the Shakhtarsk direction, Russian troops launched an air strike near Staromaiorske, Donetsk region, and shelled 3 settlements.
In Zaporizhzhia and Kherson directions, Russian forces’ priority is preventing the advance of Ukrainian troops.
Russian forces carried out air strikes near a settlements in the Kherson region and shelled over 25 settlements across Zaporizhzhia, Dnipropetrovsk, and Kherson regions.
Russian forces connect temporarily occupied territories of the Luhansk region to Russian Internet network
Russia illegally integrates the temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine into its information environment.
"Thus, servicemen of the Russian occupying forces arrived in the town of Milove, Luhansk region, to connect the town’s communications and Internet network to Russian operators - they are laying communication cables from the territory of the Russian Federation," the statement said.

On July 31, the National Resistance Center reported that Russia planned to legalize crimes in the temporarily occupied territories if "they were aimed at protecting the interests of Russia or its subjects."
