Russia loses 10 armored vehicles, 4 tanks, and 700 soldiers in one day of war in Ukraine – General Staff
The Ukrainian Defense Forces successfully fended off attacks in the Avdiivka and Bakhmut directions. Simultaneously, the Russian army has incurred substantial losses, totaling 338,000 since the start of the full-scale invasion
The Ukrainian Armed Forces' General Staff shared their regular report, as below.
The total Russian combat losses from February 24, 2022, to December 10, 2023, amounted to:

Frontline situation: Ukrainian Defense Forces repel Russian attacks in 6 directions during the day
According to the General Staff, 60 combat clashes took place at the front during the past 24 hours.
Near the state Ukrainian border with Russia and Belarus, the operational situation has not changed.
In the northeastern border area, the Russian army maintains a military presence in the border areas, conducts active sabotage activities to prevent the deployment of Ukrainian troops to threatened areas, and increases the density of minefields along the state border in the Belgorod region.
In the Kupyansk direction, Ukrainian defenders repelled 7 Russian attacks near Synkivka, Petropavlivka, Kharkiv region, and Novoselivske, Luhansk region.
In the Lyman direction, the Ukrainian Defense Forces repulsed a hostile attack near Serebryanka Forestry, Luhansk region.
In the Bakhmut direction, Ukraine's troops repelled 14 Russia's attacks near 3 settlements in the Donetsk region. Ukrainian Defense Forces continue assault operations south of Bakhmut in the Donetsk region, inflicting losses in manpower and equipment on Russian troops, and consolidating their positions.
In the Avdiivka direction, Ukraine continues to hold back the Russian invading forces, who keep trying to surround Avdiivka. Ukraine's soldiers are steadily holding the line, inflicting significant losses on the Russian troops. Ukrainian Defense Forces successfully repelled 19 attacks in 4 areas in the Donetsk region.
In the Marinka direction, the Ukrainian Defense Forces hold back Russian troops near 3 settlements in the Donetsk region, where Ukraine's defenders repelled 8 attacks.
In the Shakhtarsk direction, Ukrainian defenders repelled 2 attacks near Staromayorske, Donetsk region.
In the Zaporizhzhia directions, units of the Ukrainian Defense Forces repulsed 3 attacks in Novopokrovka and west of Robotyne, Zaporizhzhia region.
In the Melitopol direction, the Ukrainian army continues to inflict losses in manpower and equipment on the Russian occupying forces, exhausting Russian troops.
In the Kherson direction, the Ukrainian Defense Forces continue to hold their positions on the left bank of the Dnipro River, continue to conduct counter-battery combat, and inflict fire on Russia's rear.
Russia launches drone and missile attacks on Ukraine, and Ukrainian Defense Forces target Russian positions
In total, Russia launched 1 missile, 8 air strikes, 34 MLRS attacks at the positions of Ukrainian troops and populated areas. Tragically, civilians suffered casualties and injuries due to Russian terrorist attacks, causing destruction to private homes and other civilian infrastructure.
In the recent assault, Russian forces utilized a Kh-59 guided missile and a Shahed-136/131 UAV. Ukrainian air defense successfully intercepted and destroyed the Kh-59 missile, and the drone did not reach its target.
Today, Russian troops struck Ukraine once more, deploying 2 S-300 anti-aircraft guided missiles on Velykyi Burluk in the Kharkiv region. Airstrikes hit Novomykhailivka and Prechystivka in the Donetsk region.
Over 120 settlements in various regions, including Chernihiv, Sumy, Kharkiv, Luhansk, Donetsk, Zaporizhzhia, Dnipropetrovsk, Kherson, and Mykolaiv, faced Russian artillery fire.
Simultaneously, Ukrainian missile forces targeted 2 concentrations of Russian personnel, weapons, military equipment, and 2 fuel and lubricant warehouses.

According to ISW reports, Russian troops are escalating offensive actions amid challenging weather conditions, attempting to seize the initiative before the upcoming presidential elections in Russia. Meanwhile, the Defense Forces of Ukraine are holding defensive positions without engaging in counterattacks.
