Russia likely postpones massive missile attacks on Ukraine until fall - General Staff
Russia has probably decided to postpone massive missile strikes against Ukraine until the fall. In the summer, the occupiers intend to launch mass production of new cruise missiles
This assumption was voiced by the Deputy Chief of the Main Operational Directorate of the AFU’s General Staff Oleksiy Hromov.
"It should be noted that, according to available data, in June of this year, the Russian Federation plans to start mass production of strategic air-launched cruise missiles of the Kh-50 type, which will allow the Kremlin to activate missile strikes on the territory of Ukraine in the fall," he said.
The Russians claim that their Kh-50 cruise missile can hit targets at a range of up to 1,500 kilometers. The product is a subsonic missile that uses the guidance system of the Kh-101 strategic missile, but has a smaller airframe. This missile is six meters long and weighs about 1,600 kilograms. Its cruising speed is 700 kilometers per hour (maximum speed is 950). The Kh-50 is carried by Tu-22M3 bombers, as well as strategic Tu-95MS and Tu-160.
