Russia launches missile attack on humanitarian centre in Kherson on Volunteer Day

Serhiy Mukoriz, executive director of the charity foundation Ya-Kherson, said that on December 5 Russian missiles destroyed the humanitarian headquarters in the city of Kherson

He told this on the Espreso TV channel.

"Ironically, today, on December 5, on International Volunteer Day, the Russian forces attacked our humanitarian headquarters. At 11 o'clock, two missiles hit, after which it caught fire. The fire was being extinguished for over 13 hours. We managed to save some of the humanitarian aid. We are now preparing to find new premises and move," said the executive director of the Ya-Kherson charity foundation.

According to him, the humanitarian centre helped vulnerable people, such as pensioners, people with disabilities and large families. The citizens were provided with hygiene products, medical supplies, electric and gas heaters, as not all Kherson homes have heat or gas supply.

"A lot of property has been destroyed, about 80-90% of the aid. Today we have been trying to save the part that could be taken out and given to people for use," said Mukoriz.
