Russia launches failed assaults in 5 frontline areas — Ukraine’s General Staff

This is stated in the evening report of the Ukrainian army’s General Staff. 

Ukrainian aviation strikes a Russian control center

Ukrainian aviation also carried out 14 strikes on concentrations of Russian personnel, weapons and military equipment. In addition, the Ukrainian air defense forces destroyed 2 attack UAVs.

In turn, Ukrainian missile troops hit 3 radar stations, 8 artillery pieces, as well as a personnel, weapons, and military equipment concentration.

During the day, Russia launched 7 missile and 65 air strikes, and 31 MLRS attacks at the positions of Ukrainian troops and populated areas. Also, Russian occupying forces struck again at Ukraine, using 4 Iskander-M ballistic missiles and S-400 anti-aircraft guided missiles against civilian infrastructure. Private homes and other civilian infrastructure were destroyed and damaged. Unfortunately, there are wounded among the civilian population.

The operational situation in eastern and southern Ukraine remains challenging.

In the area of the northern Ukrainian border with Belarus, the operational situation has not changed. 

In the northeastern border area, Russian forces maintain a grouping of troops covering the state border, conducting active sabotage activities in the border areas to prevent the deployment of Ukrainian troops to threatened areas, and increasing the density of minefields along the state border in the Belgorod region. Over 30 settlements came under Russian artillery and mortar fire.

In Kupyansk direction, Russian troops conducted unsuccessful assaults with the support of aviation near Synkivka and Ivanivka, Kharkiv region, and Nadiya, Luhansk region. The Ukrainian Armed Forces repelled over 10 attacks there. Russian troops launched air strikes near 2 settlements in the Kharkiv region. About 15 settlements came under Russian artillery and mortar fire.

In Lyman direction, Russian troops did not conduct offensive (assault) actions, they continued to regroup their troops. Russian troops launched air strikes near 3 settlements in the Kharkiv region. Over 15 settlements came under Russian artillery and mortar fire.

In Bakhmut direction, Russian troops unsuccessfully tried to regain their lost positions near Klishchiivka and Andriivka, Donetsk region. At the same time, they conducted unsuccessful assault operations near Pivdenne, Donetsk region. Over 25 settlements came under Russian artillery and mortar fire.

In Avdiivka direction, Russian troops, supported by aviation, conducted unsuccessful assault operations near Avdiivka and 4 more settlements in the Donetsk region. In total, the Ukrainian Defense Forces repelled 15 attacks in this area. Russian troops also launched an air strike near Lastochkine, Donetsk region. About 20 settlements came under Russian artillery and mortar fire.

In Marinka direction, Russian troops carried out unsuccessful attacks near Marinka and another settlement in the Donetsk region. Ukrainian soldiers repelled over 20 attacks. Russian troops also launched an air strike near Kostyantynivka, Donetsk region. About 10 settlements in the Donetsk region came under Russian artillery and mortar fire.

In Shakhtarsk direction, Ukrainian defenders repelled all attacks near Zolota Nyva and Staromayorske, Donetsk region.

Russian troops also had failed assaults near Prechystivka and Zolota Nyva, Donetsk region. About 10 settlements came under Russian artillery and mortar fire.

In Zaporizhzhia direction, Russian troops tried to regain the lost position near Robotyne, Zaporizhzhia region, but were unsuccessful. More than 20 settlements came under Russian artillery and mortar fire.

In Kherson direction, the Ukrainian Defense Forces conduct counter-battery operations, destroy Russian depots and successfully strike at the enemy's rear.

Russian troops conducted air strikes near 3 settlements in the Kherson region. Five settlements came under enemy artillery fire.

At the same time, the Ukrainian Defense Forces continue offensive operations in the Melitopol direction and offensive (assault) operations in the Bakhmut direction, inflicting losses in manpower and equipment on the Russian occupying forces, and exhausting the Russian troops along the entire front line.
