The city of Lozova in the Kharkiv region has suffered “the most massive attack since the beginning of the war,” said Serhiy Zelenskyi, head of the Lozova city territorial community.
Critical infrastructure, apartment buildings, and private homes were damaged as a result of the Russian attack.
“Rescue workers, medics, and emergency services are working. We are assessing the damage. We are restoring the water supply. Part of the city remains without electricity, in particular Avylivka and the Katerynivka district,” Zelenskyi said.
The Ukrzaliznytsia press service clarified that the Russian attack targeted the railway station and other infrastructure facilities.
“Most people managed to take shelter, but unfortunately, there were casualties. A mechanic on duty at one of the units was killed, and four other railway workers were injured. All the victims are receiving the necessary medical care,” the statement said.

A man was killed and at least 10 people, including two children, were injured following a massive Russian drone strike on the city of Lozova in the Kharkiv region, according to the Kharkiv Regional State Emergency Service.
The attack caused widespread destruction, setting six fires and damaging administrative, industrial, and warehouse buildings, as well as the roof of the city’s train station. In total, 45 rescuers, 13 emergency vehicles, and fire trains were deployed to contain the aftermath.
The head of the Kharkiv Regional Military Administration, Oleh Syniehubov, reported that Russian forces targeted six settlements in the region over the past day. Three civilians were killed and 10 others wounded, including two children.
The most extensive attack occurred overnight in Lozova, between 2:45 a.m. and 4:40 a.m., where 33 Geran-2 kamikaze drones were reportedly used to target railway infrastructure. Fires broke out at the station and depot, and several other facilities sustained damage.
In Lozova, a 55-year-old mechanic from a local railway division was killed in the Russian drone strike. Among the ten injured were a 14-year-old boy and a 13-year-old girl. Four railway workers were hospitalized with injuries, while five others — including the two children — suffered acute stress reactions. One man was injured by shards of glass.
Meanwhile, in the village of Lyman in the Vovchansk community, a 49-year-old man and a woman were killed as a result of Russian attacks.
