Russia launches 820th attack on Kyiv: air defense destroys almost 15 Shaheds

Local authorities reported the information.

At about 01:40 am, the Kyiv City Administration announced the operation of air defense in the region.

"The air raid alert is still in place! Air defense is operating in the region, on the outskirts of Kyiv. Stay in shelters until the air raid is over!" wrote Serhiy Popko, the head of the Kyiv City Military Administration.

At 05:34 am, Popko reported that about 15 Shahed drones were shot down during the 8th consecutive attack on Kyiv.

"Eighth consecutive attack of Shahed barrage munitions on Kyiv. And again, like yesterday, it was a massive attack. Nearly 15 air targets were detected and destroyed by air defense forces on the approach to Kyiv. As of this moment, there were no casualties or damage in the capital," the official said.

He emphasized that the air defense forces deserve gratitude for repelling the attack and added that this is the 820th attack on Kyiv, "The air raid alert in the capital lasted exactly 3 hours. It was the 820th for Kyiv since the beginning of the full-scale invasion."

The threat of an attack in Ukraine was first reported by the Air Force of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
