Russia launches 16 strikes on Ukraine, AFU repel attacks near 13 settlements

The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported the information in the morning brief on November 22.

"The enemy continues armed aggression against our state, does not stop striking industrial facilities. It tries to keep the temporarily captured territories, concentrates its efforts on restraining the actions of the Defense Forces, implements equipment in the engineering aspect of the defense line, and continues to conduct offensive actions in certain directions. Conducts aerial reconnaissance," the brief reads.

Russian troops continue shelling the positions of Ukrainian troops and the settlements near the contact line, critical infrastructure, and civilian homes.

Over the past day, Russian troops launched 9 air strikes, 7 missile strikes and more than 50 MLRS attacks. The attack damaged objects of civil infrastructure in the settlements of Komyshuvakha and Novotroitske of the Zaporizhzhia region.

In the Volyn, Polissya, Siversk,and Slobozhanske directions, the situation has not changed significantly, and no signs of the formation of offensive groups have been detected.

In the Siversk direction, in the border areas of the Bryansk and Kursk regions, the Russian army continues conducting operations covering the Russian-Ukrainian border, conducting demonstrative and provocative actions.  Russian troops fired on the positions of our units in the area of ​​Rozhkovychi settlement of the Sumy region.

On the Kupyansk and Lyman directions, the enemy digs into defense, firing from tanks, mortars and barrel artillery. In particular, near Orlianske and Lozova settlements of Kharkiv region; Novoselivske, Stelmakhivka, Ploshchanka, Makiivka of the Luhansk region, and Terny in the Donetsk region.

In the Bakhmut and Avdiivka areas, Russian troops are concentrating their efforts on conducting offensive operations. They shell from tanks and artillery various types of objects near 17 settlements. Among them are Andriivka, Soledar, Bakhmut, Bakhmutske, Mayorsk, Opytne, Yakovlivka, Vesele and Vodyane.

In the Novopavlivka and Zaporizhzhia directions, Russian troops digs into defence on captured territories. They fire positions of the Ukranian Defense Forces from tanks, mortars, barrel and rocket artillery. Twenty-one settlements were affected by enemy artillery fire, including Bohoyavlenka, Vremivka, Vuhledar, Zolota Nyva of the Donetsk region, as well as Hulyaipole, Zaliznychne, Malynivka, Myrne of the Zaporizhzhia region.
