Russia issues its license plates on temporarily occupied Ukrainian territories
Ukraine’s Deputy Minister of Defense says that Russia has started issuing car license plates with Russian code and driver's licenses on the temporarily occupied Ukrainian territories
Hanna Maliar reported the information during a briefing at the Military Media Center.
"Representatives of the Russian occupation administrations are accelerating measures of illegal integration of the temporarily occupied Ukrainian territories of Ukraine into the Russian administrative and legal system," Maliar said.
Russian occupation authorities are changing Ukrainian driver's licenses to Russian ones, as well as issuing license plates of the Russian Federation with a digital designation of the region.
"It has been announced that it will be forbidden to operate vehicles, including personal ones, without meeting these conditions, and in case of violation they may be seized," emphasized Maliar.
Ukraine’s Deputy Minister of Defense said that the centers for issuing passports in Russia have reduced the terms of issuance from 30 to 10 days.
- On January 11, the Swiss Federal Council decided to no longer issue Schengen visas to holders of passports issued by Russia on the temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine.
