Russia is unable to open another front against Ukraine from Belarus - international expert Shelest

She expressed her opinion with Espreso.

"Russia can use the territory of Belarus for a repeated attack on the territory of Ukraine. The Russian Federation is already using Belarus for missile attacks on Ukrainian cities. However, the main question today is whether Russia is able to create a group and open another front from the territory of Belarus. Many military experts say that there is no such possibility in Russia," explained Shelest.

She emphasized that, apart from missile attacks on the territory of Ukraine, there is still no greater threat from the territory of Belarus.

"All that Russia can do today from the territory of Belarus is to shell the cities of Ukraine. Because in this case they do not depend on the personnel they have on the territory of Belarus. The enemy has a very difficult situation in the east and south of Ukraine. To open another front  in the North of Ukraine, without confidence that they have logistical support, will be a problem for the Russian Federation," Shelest added.
