"Russia is engaged in nuclear terrorism": Vereshchuk urges people in Russian-occupied territories near Zaporizhzhia nuclear power plant to evacuate
Ukraine's Minister of Reintegration, Iryna Vereshchuk, has called on people living in the temporarily Russian-occupied territories near Zaporizhzhia nuclear power plant to evacuate.
On September 7, she wrote about this on Telegram.
Iryna Vereshchuk emphasized that the Russian Federation is directly engaged in nuclear terrorism, and this is happening for the first time in the history of mankind.
"The Russians are holding hostage not only the staff of the station. They are also holding hostage the residents of the temporarily Russia-occupied territories adjacent to the Zaporizhzhia nuclear power plant. Tens of thousands of people," she added.
According to Vereshchuk, Ukraine's Ministry of Reintegration requested a humanitarian corridor for the evacuation of the civilian population from the temporarily Russia-occupied territories, but they did not receive a response from the Russian occupiers.
She also addressed the residents of the temporarily Russia-occupied territories near the Zaporizhzhia nuclear power plant.
"I appeal to the residents of the areas temporarily not under the control of Ukraine's Government, adjacent to the Zaporizhzhia nuclear power plant: evacuate! Find a way to move to the controlled territory. We are waiting for you and will help," Iryna Vereshchuk wrote.
