Russia is being beaten, TV creates a good picture - political scientist Tsibulko
Political scientist Volodymyr Tsibulko has said that Russian corporate debts now exceed three annual budgets for the entire Russian Federation.
He shared his views on Espreso.
"Russia is being beaten, but television creates a good picture. In the regions, 70% of the subjects of the federation (constituent entities or administrative regions - Ed) are in debt to a tune of over 100% of their gross product. The population is sitting on loans, most of the loans are unpayable. These are toxic loans that will eventually eat away the economy. There are no reserves in Russia. Russia can boast that it does not have a large national debt, but the debts of corporations exceed three budgets of Russia," Tsibulko explained.
The political scientist also added that Russia will not cover the debts of corporations with state finances.
"Corporations are an element of the state in Russia. State capitalism reigns in Russia, Russian oligarchs are the proteges of a cabal clique to operate a certain segment of the economy," Tsibulko emphasized.
