Irina Shayk represents Russian brand Gloria Jeans, which makes clothes in occupied Luhansk

Russian-born supermodel Irina Shayk, who has remained silent about Russia's aggression against Ukraine, has starred in a campaign for Russian clothing brand Gloria Jeans

The video was posted on the brand's Instagram.

Supermodel Irina Shaykhlislamova, a native of the Chelyabinsk region, known as Irina Shayk, who has been working in the United States and Europe for 20 years, has starred for the Russian brand Gloria Jeans. The Russian woman does not directly voice her position on Russia's war in Ukraine. She did not condemn Russian aggression, like other "good Russians," wrote "No to war," and on March 1, 2022, announced that she would donate to UNICEF and the Ukrainian Red Cross.

Now she has become the face of a Russian brand that also continues to produce in occupied Ukrainian Luhansk. But the Russians filmed their ads in Los Angeles.

"This ad campaign is about reinventing the brand and reflects a new chapter in our 40+ year history," Gloria Jeans captioned the video with Shayk.

"I am Irina Shayk. Everyone is talking about Gloria Jeans," the model says in Russian in the video.

In the West, they try to ignore the supermodel's Russian origin and continue to work with her. The main argument is that she did not publicly support Russia's war.

On February 13, the March issue of the British magazine Vogue went on sale, featuring 40 "fashion icons" on its cover. Vogue brought together Oprah Winfrey, Salma Hayek, Naomi Campbell, Jane Fonda, Miley Cyrus, Cara Delevingne, Anya Taylor-Joy, Irina Shayk, and many others in one place at one time. The Russian model on the cover of the British magazine poses in lingerie by the Ukrainian brand ZHILYOVA.
