Ukraine’s Deputy Minister of Defense Hanna Maliar reported the information on Telegram.
"The enemy is increasing pressure in the Bakhmut and Vuhledar directions. Heavy fighting continues. The enemy throws a significant number of personnel, weapons and military equipment into the battle, trying to break through our defense, suffers significant losses, but does not abandon its plans," Maliar wrote.
The intensity of fighting in the Donetsk region is only increasing.
The deputy minister emphasizes that while the enemy has an advantage in number and weapons, Ukraine has an advantage in the professionalism of the military command and the courage of Ukrainian defenders.
"The path to our victory is difficult," added Maliar.
On the afternoon of January 25, the spokesman for the Eastern Grouping of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, Serhiy Cherevaty, announced the withdrawal of Ukrainian troops from Soledar, Donetsk region.
