Russia install barges to protect Crimea bridge, satellite images show

High-resolution satellite images show that barges have been installed south of the Crimea bridge. It is noted that the water depth in this area is from 2 to 4 meters, so it is possible that they were just partially submerged.

The journalists suggest that these barges could be used as the baRadio Liberty sis for a barrier against Ukrainian maritime drones.

• According to the military, the Crimea bridge is currently often closed and opened, and does not work at full capacity.

• The occupying Russian forces have recently begun to transport machinery and all the necessary equipment by cargo ships through the Kerch Strait more often.
