The General Staff of Ukraine's Armed Forces shared this update on Facebook.

"The 65th day of Ukraine’s heroic opposition to the Russian military invasion has begun. Russia does not stop conducting a full-scale armed aggression against Ukraine. Russia continues offensive operations in the Eastern Operational Zone in order to establish full control over the territory of Donetsk, Luhansk, and occupied Crimea", the report says.

In the Volhynia and Polissya areas, Russia is not conducting active operations, no signs of the formation of offensive groups were found. Belarusian Armed Forces units continue to strengthen the protection of the state border with Ukraine.

No changes in the activities and composition of the Russian groupings have been identified in the Siversky area.

In the Slobozhansky area, Russia continues to concentrate its efforts on holding positions in the Kharkiv region and tries to defeat Ukraine's Armed Forces units in certain areas.

Russia did not conduct active offensive operations in the Izyum area. The main efforts are focused on conducting reconnaissance, identifying the defensive positions of Ukraine's Armed Forces units and hitting them with artillery fire.

In the Donetsk and Tauride areas, Russia is firing at positions with artillery, mortars and multiple missile launchers along the entire line of collision to prevent the regrouping of Ukrainian troops.

Russian forces continue to block Ukrainian units in Mariupol, near the Azovstal plant.

In the temporarily occupied territories, the occupying authorities continue to implement measures to restrict the movement and detention of residents and block humanitarian supplies from the territory of Ukraine. Russian invaders seize property from agricultural workers and their businesses. For example, over 60 tons of wheat were stolen from an agricultural entity in Kamyanka-Dniprovska city, along with freight transport.

On April 28, Ukrainian defense forces hit 15 Russian air targets: one aircraft, five cruise missiles and nine operational-tactical unmanned aerial vehicles.

"Ukrainian defenders are conducting active mobile defense, they counterattack only on the territory of Donetsk and Luhansk regions. Over the past day, nine Russian attacks were repulsed, six tanks, one artillery system, twelve armored and one automotive vehicles, and one anti-aircraft gun were destroyed", the message says.
