Russia hits Ukraine with missiles, drones overnight, injuring civilians in Kharkiv, Mykolaiv

Attack on Kharkiv
At 12:16 a.m., Kharkiv Mayor Ihor Terekhov reported an explosion in the city. Preliminary information indicates the strike was carried out by a drone.
“Preliminarily – in the Shevchenkivskyi district. We’re clarifying the details,” he wrote at 12:19 a.m.
“The enemy launched a Geran-2 type UAV strike on Kharkiv’s Shevchenkivskyi district. No reports of casualties yet,” wrote the head of the regional military administration, Oleh Syniehubov, at 12:56 a.m.
At 01:13 a.m., Syniehubov said a second drone strike hit the city, also likely in the Shevchenkivskyi district.
Strikes in Kharkiv region
At 01:07 a.m., Syniehubov reported explosions in Chuhuiv and Balakliya.
“As a result of the strikes, private homes caught fire. Casualty information is being confirmed. Emergency services and medics are on site,” he wrote.
By morning, the State Emergency Service reported that in Chuhuiv, a private household and structural parts of a building destroyed by an explosion were burning at multiple addresses. Three people were injured.

In Balakliya, two locations were hit. At one, eight private homes burned across 1,000 square meters, along with dry grass over 1,500 square meters. Rescuers saved four people, including a child.
Two fire engines were damaged in a second round of the attack. No injuries were reported among personnel.

Attack on Mykolaiv
Overnight, Russian forces launched a missile strike on a residential area in Mykolaiv, injuring seven people. Four received treatment at the scene.
As of this morning, according to the regional military administration, a 57-year-old man and a 74-year-old man remain hospitalized in moderate condition. A 32-year-old man was treated as an outpatient.

The attack destroyed three private homes and caused multiple fires. Another 23 private houses, 12 apartment buildings, six cars, a post office, and a building materials store were damaged.
Emergency rescue operations are ongoing. Firefighters are working at the impact site.
