Russia has resources for another 2,5 months of fighting in Bakhmut direction
The company commander of the 112th Brigade of the Territorial Defence Forces Yuriy Fedorenko says Russia is attacking in all directions of the front line
He shared the information with Espreso TV.
"The contact line is unstable, the enemy is attacking in all directions. We record the enemy's attempts to conduct strike and assault actions. The enemy is trying to identify weaknesses in the defense of the Ukrainian Armed Forces. Large enemy forces are concentrated in Bakhmut. The enemy has changed tactics, trying to approach the positions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in small groups. The enemy has deployed Wagner PMC to this direction. Wagner PMC includes mercenaries who were imprisoned in Russia. Approximately, it amounts to 45,000 people," noted Fedorenko.
According to the commander, the Russian military will not be able to dislodge the Ukrainian Armed Forces from their positions in the Bakhmut direction.
"On average, the enemy suffers losses of 16,000 soldiers per month, the enemy still has enough personnel resources for about 2 to 2.5 months of fighting, but the Russian leadership does not spare it. Russian troops cannot set up outposts and mine the territory so the Wagner and mobilized soldiers are not withdrawn, because this will lead to a chain reaction. Russian mobilized will turn their weapons against mercenaries from Chechnya who control them. The enemy still has the capabilities and resources for 2,5 months of conducting strike and assault operations in Bakhmut and Vuhledar," emphasized Fedorenko.
Ukrainian soldiers repelled attacks of the Russian army in Luhansk and Donetsk regions. They also hit Russian troops concentrations and ammunition warehouses on December 18.
Russian leadership is engaged in planning and controlling military efforts to prepare for a new offensive against Ukraine, which may take place in the coming months.
