Russian elections: Half of turnout in occupied territories ensured by non-natives

Roman Vlasenko, head of the Sieverodonetsk District Military Administration, said that the bulk of the turnout in the temporarily occupied territories was provided by the Russian military and civilians

He told about this on the Espreso TV channel.

"Russians say that the turnout in the pseudo-elections in the temporarily occupied territories was 87%. According to them, more than 1.5 million people took part in these elections. According to our estimates, there is no such number of people living in the TOT (temporarily occupied territories - ed.) of Luhansk region. It's also important to note that half of the population, in Sieverodonetsk district for sure, who voted were not local residents. That is, they were Russian military and civilians who came to the TOT of Luhansk region. In addition, they used absentee ballots and there were a lot of recorded changes of voting places," said Vlasenko.

According to Vlasenko, the turnout at Putin's pseudo-elections in the temporarily occupied Luhansk region was no more than 50%.

"Therefore, all this is further evidence that these elections are a farce and fraud. I think that the turnout on the TOT cannot be more than 50%. Because there are few people left in the occupied territories. Mostly people of retirement age voted there, for whom it is a kind of holiday where they can eat for free," he added.
